Black History Month Celebration 2020 - The annual Black History Month program, hosted by the Irving Black Arts Council and the City of Irving, focused on fashion with excerpts from the production, “Beautiful.” The play was written and directed by Janet Forney, with original music by Lewis Anderson and fashions by designer Lia Muriel. Other highlights included the unveiling of the 2020 African American Heritage Stamp and spoken work performances, as well as art created by students from Barbara Bush Middle School.
