Celebrating Irving: the City and the Man - Since 2007, the Irving Heritage Society has commemorated two April birthdays: the incorporation of the City of Irving on April 14, 1914 and the birth of the city’s namesake, Washington Irving on April 3. “Celebrating Irving: the City and the Man” is a month-long, community-wide celebration of all things Irving.
