In Memoriam: Thelma “Susie” Coleman - The Irving community honors the memory of Thelma “Susie” Coleman, long time member of the Irving Heritage Society and founder of the Tour of Historic Churches. As secretary to Dallas businessman Karl Hoblitzelle, Thelma had a career with Interstate Theaters and the Hobiltzelle Foundation – long before the phrase “career woman” came into vogue. Her beautiful needlework displayed her great talent with a needle and her wit was just as sharp. Rest in peace, Susie. (1912-2016)
