More Irving Schools Join Verizon's Innovative Learning Initiative - Students at three Irving ISD middle schools now have tablets for their schoolwork. De Zavala, Johnson, and Travis Middle Schools are the latest to join the Verizon Innovative Learning Initiative. Irving is the first city in the nation to have all of its middle schools in that program. Watch to see some of the ways students are using their tablets to focus on STEM fields and other coursework.
