In “A Year by the Sea” Karen Allen portrays a woman experiencing a mid-life crisis and, no surprise, spends a year-by the sea-reflecting on her life to this point and on her future. “American Made”, on the other hand, is a manly American story of a guy who is looking for something more and discovers his true calling and a natural talent for Being Bad.
