Texas State Arbor Day at Nimitz High School - Nimitz High School students had a role in the Texas State Arbor Day celebration. The City of Irving recognized Nimitz for its recycling program and other green initiatives by hosting a tree planting ceremony. That ceremony was featured live during a streamed Texas A&M Forest Service Arbor Day event.
