Albertsons Opens New Store in South Irving - Albertsons is now open in South Irving at 2200 West Shady Grove Road. Shoppers turning out for the first day seemed thrilled with all that the store offers. At the Grand Opening celebration, the company presented checks to several local nonprofit organizations. Crisis Ministries will be Albertsons' "fresh rescue" partner and will receive ongoing donations of excess food. City leaders talked about the work with the store and the shopping center developer to make this happen.
