Irving Leadership Day of Service 2023 - Department directors and other City of Irving leadership team members completed a park cleanup project with Keep Irving Beautiful. It's part of a relatively new holiday tradition -- the Leadership Day of Service.
Additionally, departments had the option to take up a collection for items to assemble “blessing bags” that KIB distributes to Irving’s unhoused population, as well as expectant teen parents through Irving ISD. The bags consisted of several toiletry items, socks, and handwarmers, and additionally, every bag received a handwritten note of encouragement.
